Netcat streaming on Arista EOS

Streaming telemetry is positioned as an alternative to SNMP polling, the main network monitoring argument for streaming telemetry is that the network operator is given the ability to react quicker to network events because the relevant network metrics are streamed immediately from the network device without having to wait for the next SNMP polling cycle. In this video, I will quickly demonstrate how to create a streaming telemetry application using the 25 year old networking tool called netcat and I will also show how RFC 1925 seems to hold true about network streaming telemetry when it states that : "Every old idea will be proposed again with a different name and a different presentation, regardless of whether it works."
